Using the infrared camera in the Wii remote and a head mounted sensor bar (two IR LEDs), you can accurately track the location of your head and render view dependent images on the screen. This effectively transforms your display into a portal to a virtual environment. The display properly reacts to head and body movement as if it were a real window creating a realistic illusion of depth and space. By Johnny Chung Lee, Carnegie Mellon University. Wii Fit is Perfect for the Young and Old Alike. But What is it and Why are so Many People Clamoring to Get It?

Wii Fit is perfect for the young and old alike. But what is it and why are so many people clamoring to get it?
Nintendo Wii Fit with Wii Balance Board turns your TV room into a workout centerfor the whole family. Family members will have fun getting a “good” exercise, and viewing results and progress on a new channel on the Wii Menu. Nintendo’s system has made gaming more available by changing natural human motion into game control, and with every move of the wrist it has been adding an entirely new base into the fold as full-fledged videogamers. What Wii Sports and the Wii Remote did for bringing sports to the living room, Wii Fit and the Balance Board are doing for physical fitness and exercise. Nintendo has finally accomplished some things they’ve wanted for a long time: expansion of the gaming industry and a few successful peripherals. They’ve been trying to convert us that add-ons are the means since the beginning.
Wii fit is fun when you first get it because everything is new and exciting to play. But the problem is, it doesn’t take long to control the balance games and soon after the game loses a lot of appeal, just as the wii sports package did. It is a great tool for what I want. All my other exercise stuff is collecting dust while my board needs daily cleanup from all the use it gets.
Wii Fit is actually geared at exercise. It is a game that comes with a balance board. It has yoga and a lot of other exercise programs on it. It is more about conditioning and minor strength training and so you need to do a lot more on top of using the Wii Fit for it to be any sort of benefit to your health. Thanks to its gesture-based interface and a roster of gyration-inducing games, the Nintendo Wii has always offered the added gain of a low-impact physical exercise. Now there’s Wii Fit , a $90 software-and-hardware bundle, the noble purpose of which is to get gamers to drop those unwanted pounds.
Anyone who has experienced the Wii’s motion-controlled games knows that playing them can be quite an exercise, but “Wii Fit” takes that concept to a whole new level of exhaustion. The goal is to make physical fitness exciting for the whole family. Anyone who is serious about weight loss won’t completely leave it to a game! Even without the game, individuals don’t solely trust on scales to learn whether or not they are overweight, they look in the mirror, estimate by the feel of their clothes and how they feel personally.
Wii fit is just another instrument available. It is a different and innovative way to help you and your family remain fit in the comfort of your home, through simple daily workouts. More than a gaming experience, Wii Fit is a health and lifestyle product with more than 40 exercises, across four categories: balance games, yoga, muscle workouts and aerobic exercises. Wii Fit is potentially more revolutionary than Wii Sports in it’s purpose to attract “casual” gamers. Once people see fitness as being more accessible and fun, then there’s no stopping Wii.
Wii Fit is a great supplement for anyone’s workout routine. Using the slightly heavy and durable Wii balance board, Wii Fit tracks a user’s weight and BMI (Body Mass Index) by measuring the user’s weight and height.
Wii Fit is already starting to pop up in gymnasiums across Japan and we’d imagine a similar reception here in the states. Wii Fit is simple to use, and simply the most fun way to keep you, your family and friends fit. It is a million seller in the US. Nintendo themselves said they would have a million units of Wii Fit for the US launch.

There are a number of different common video game genres out there, including adventure games, action games, racing games and role playing games. Lately, a new type of video game has been gaining significant popularity: The activity video game. The Nintendo Wii Fit video game, made for the wii consoles, is not the first video game to introduce physical activity as the main focus for completing the game, though it is the first Nintendo wii console video game to promote aerobic and callisthenic exercise. The Wii console is a Nintendo gaming console that has gained popularity because it allows plays to incorporate their entire bodies into much of the game play. Rather than hold a stationary controller with a small handful of buttons, Wii gaming controllers require waving, twisting, turning, slashing and a variety of other motions in order for many of the Wii games to be played.
While the primary goal for the Wii Fit gaming bundle is family enjoyment, it also allows for players of all ages to pay more attention to their health and fitness in a way that is upbeat and non threatening. Rather than focus negatively on one’s health and wellness, children and adults are using games like the Wii Fit to address their health in a positive way, literally playing the pounds away.
The Wii Fit is a truly interactive game that works along with a “balance board”, a completely new controller that was developed especially for the Wii. This controller sits flat on the floor, and the player stands atop it. The player is able to input personal information regarding height, weight, age and other details, and the Wii Fit game will appraise their general health and suggest a fitness program. The Wii Fit, then, is more than a simple game, but also works as an effective exercise regimen, suggesting fun and family friendly exercise programs that anyone can participate in, no matter how young or old.
The Wii Fit game provides a number of excellent benefits, making it a worthwhile acquisition not only for children and adults who are looking to lose a little bit of weight, but also anyone who is interested in leading a more active lifestyle. Combining aerobic exercise with callisthenic exercise, yoga and many other forms of exercise, the Wii Fit provides a well balanced workout program without taking the fun out of the game. This is an excellent family friendly game for anyone who is serious about their health, or who enjoys being active when playing video games.
The Wii consoles is an excellent new gaming console that is available for purchase with a myriad of different family friendly games. Among the most popular Wii console games are Guitar Hero and Rock Band, simulator games that allow players to play controllers that work like musical instruments. Dance Dance Revolution is another popular Wii game that allows players to dance on a marked pad along with a variety of different popular songs from a myriad of fun genres. The Nintendo Wii Fit consoles is just one of the newest Wii games to hit the market, enticing families to come together and get involved in the gaming experience together.

Remember Last Christmas? The Crazy buzz over the Wii Nintendo Console was absolutely bizarre. There were fist fights at local stores. People who had already purchased the Wii were selling it on e-bay for as much as 4 times the original price they had paid. What just blew my mind was the one lady who punched another lady and then grabbed the Wii and took off running. The security tapes at the store were shown on the local news broadcast. Massive amounts of people were standing in line over night to get their hand on the biggest craze possibly in American history.
What was the deal with supply and demand? Was the Wii factories unable to create enough Wii? Well, Wow Wii, to Wii, for creating such a stir with a crazy epidemic. The good news is that now there are plenty of Wii consoles to go around. Most everyone who wanted one has gotten one. The bad news is that many of the top Wii games like Wii Fit,Wi Sports, and Wii Mario Cart with Wii Wheel are getting scarce.
My prediction is that this Christmas if you have not already purchased the best deal online, then the best deal online will be double the deal you could get today. By November There will be short supply of Wii Guitar Hero III, and other Wii Hot Titles. If you are planning on buying Wii stuff then buying sooner rather than later is the only good option. However; I did recently come across an amazing website that finds the best deals online and highlights them. “If it is Wii, We Have It”, is what they are boasting. They Had Some Super Deals On Wii Games and Stuff. Give Them A Try. You can really shape up with the Wii Fit.
